Game Preview - @ Braham Stars 6/30 2pm

The St. Croix River Bandits (3-10, 5-14) will take on the Braham Stars(5-9, 5-9) in a rematch of the 7-0 loss the Stars handed the Bandits earlier in the season. Blake Karas will likely be the starting pitcher for the Stars, who went the distance in his last outing in St. Croix, striking out 14, and allowing only 4 hits and 3 walks in the shutout. The Bandits will counter with Jim Rochford, who has consistently pitched well for the Bandits, dropping his ERA down to 4.57.

For those who may wonder where some of those Bandits wins came from that haven't been there before; the Isle Outlaws have officially folded and in a conference meeting it was decided that since the Outlaws had already played a number of games, they would forfeit the remander. The Bandits may be out of first place, held by Chisago at 8-4 (5.5 games back, with 9 to play), but they still hold out hope for climbing from the Central Division cellar. The Bandits trail Pine City (4-7) by 2 games, and Braham by a game and a half.
